About
Back in 2006, my brother and I signed a 15-year lease at the historic space at 560 5th Ave. A short 11 months later, Sidecar was born.
A marriage of the high and the low, Sidecar served dishes like salmon with beurre blanc and chestnut ravioli — but of course a burger and fries, too. We had high-end cocktails and fried chicken. The public loved it, and we had a great run. Covid ended it.
So I shut down, shifted gears, and re-emerged as Rullo’s. But the marriage of high and low continues, as always, in a celebration of all things cool.
If you want to play pinball, join the book club, eat queso with football on Sunday, watch an animated shorts festival, drink a Manhattan with housemade vermouth, or have a shot and a beer, we’ve got you covered.
We are committed to community and shared human experiences — a place to reconnect away from phones, laptops, and the office.
We believe in true hospitality — and the creation of a space in which everyone’s interaction retains a level of respect that allows even the most cynical New Yorker in all of us to let down our guard and be reminded that at the end of the day, life isn’t so bad after all.
That’s Rullo’s.
